SCRA are pleased to announce that the Foundation Ranger Training Course run in 2007 for the first time, will return in 2008. A full five day residential course run between 27th and 31st October 2008 will see 15 – 20 new Rangers put through their paces as they participate in a week of training in a range of areas vital to Ranger working in Scotland. Covering a range of topics from management planning, site management, people skills, presentation skills, communications skills, access, biodiversity and environmental education, this popular course will be of interest to Rangers that have been in post for 2 years or less.

THE RANGER RENDEZVOUS!
The Scottish Countryside Rangers’ Association (SCRA) along with a range of partners are organising the first Ranger Rendezvous in Scotland! This exciting training event takes place on the 10th – 12th November 2008 with a key note address by Scottish Environment Minister, Michael Russell, MSP. With three days of workshops, sharing good practice, training and networking, all based with Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, this event is not to be missed!
Whilst aspects of this event are Scottish in nature, much will be relevant no matter where you work and we would welcome bookings from across the UK!
